About the event
Join us for our June tour celebrating Juneteenth at the newly restored Mt. Tabor AME Zion church and nearby cemetery. The event will honor our seven Civil War Veterans, beginning with a proclamation reading by Larry Foster at Mt. Tabor. Dr. Lindsay Varner will provide introductions/comments, and Carmen James will share additional history. We'll then visit the cemetery where biographies of the seven veterans will be shared.
